The Music Theory and Composition Program at Sewanee has the ability to completely transform a student's life. The program provides students with opportunities for self exploration and self expression through music; giving students the means to contextualize themselves and the world around them through a creative and open mind.

The interconnectivity of culture, art, and communication will become ever prevalent in their lives, and their musical experiences at Sewanee will enrich the root of this new perspective. While this growth may be difficult to foster on one's own, students will find their own personal needs and goals being cultivated by the faculty, who persistently strive to support success and fulfillment within every single student.
