MUSIC THEORY & COMPOSITION PROGRAM
GUERRY HALL
In the heart of central campus, Geurry Hall serves as the HQ for the music department. It hosts the following facilities:
Practice Rooms - Sound treated and each furnished with a piano and music stand
Piano Lab - A classroom outfitted with desks and full size keyboards for each student. Used to teach our theory and composition classes
GUERRY AUDITORIUM
Inside Guerry Hall, Guerry Auditorium is the premiere performance space on campus. It hosts all manner of acts, from classical recitals to modern arena style shows.
MAC LAB
Situated in the basement of the library, the Mac Lab has a suite of iMacs fitted with Logic Pro, where classes covering recording and technology are taught.
RALSTON ROOM
The Ralston listening room is a world class setup of speakers and listening equipment. Classes frequent its seats to listen to music and assignments.
SONIC ARTS LAB
The Sonic Arts Lab is located in Guerry Hall. It is a new room where students will be able to learn how to use professional music equipment and familiarize themselves with Digital Audio Workstations, in order to help with their music creation.
RECORDING STUDIO
The recording studio is right next door to the Sonic Arts Lab in Guerry Hall. It was built hand in hand with the Sonic Arts Lab, and is equipped with all the tools students may need to realize their musical ideas into a physical recording. This space is ideal for students wanting to channel their creativity in a more professional environment.
